Rolling to steep open farmland, with a little bit of pine forest only 20 minutes from Palmerston North. 
800 Fitzherbert East Road Aokautere.
Fantastic views over the Palmerston North plains. You will get up fairly close to the wind turbines.

It is an 800m walk, with 90m climb to the Start. Make sure you have a big drink of water before you set out.

Starts 1100 - 1300   Course closure: 2.30pm

Pre-entry.  It is really helpful if you pre-enter through EnterO.  The earlier you enter the more idea of how many maps we need to print. Enter on the day will be available but there is no guarantee that you will have a map of the course of your choice

Red Medium. 4.4km.

Red Short. 3.4km

Orange. 3.4km

Yellow. (Easy) 2.3km

White. (Very Easy) 2km.  This course is not suitable for unaccompanied young children. It is strongly recommended that inexperienced children on the White course be accompanied by an adult.

Directions.  From Aokautere, turn right at 800 Fitzherbert East Road, (State Hwy 57) drive up the drive through a gate and park near the woolshed.  Alternatively, from the bridge over the Manawatu River near Ashhurst Domain, turn right on to State Hwy 57 towards Levin and turn left at 800. The Start is about 1 km. along the road past the Download and Finish and up a farm track.

Course closure will be 2.30 pm.  This gives people who start at 1 pm 90 minutes to complete their course.  Control collection will start then or earlier if all competitors have returned to the finish.
